This is a highly recommended tour for garden lovers, even for people who are
"Not that into plants"!!

Entry to the garden is now free and a complimentary shuttle service provided around the garden gives you an informative look at the bigger picture while you put your feet up! This shuttle service takes about 20 minutes.

Inside the main building you can treat yourself to  a magnificent lunch or coffee with superb views to be appreciated from the restaurant.

We can depart from your accommodation or railway station from Katoomba through to Lithgow.

The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah sits on a basalt peak 1,000 metres above sea level in the World Heritage listed Greater Blue Mountains. The garden is home to thousands of species of cool climate and southern hemisphere plants.

 

As well as the many beautiful gardens and rainforest walks the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden runs events and workshops to inspire a love for plants:

 

  • The Quest of the Magic Labyrinth - a quirky self-guided family quest through fantastic mountain fungi. Every day $3.50.
  • Wizard’s Schools of Magic. An hour and a half of magical craft and fun activities. Saturday 13 August. Book on 4567 3000
  • Art to inspire: 2011 Artist in Residence, Mel Jones with her first Pochoir exhibition at the Garden. View Mel's unique vibrant landscapes, characterised by crisp lines and brilliant colours using the old world technique of hand cut stenciling. Saturday 2 July-Sunday 14 August. Free.
  • Learn all about plants at our Aussie Botany for Beginners workshop. Saturday 20 August 10.30am -12.30pm $25. Book on 4567 3000.
  • Support the Cancer Council on Daffodil Day at The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden. The garden will be transformed by a sea of golden hues as additional plantings of daffodils erupt in bloom. Enjoy a picnic, take some photos or simply enjoy the mass plantings. Cut flowers and Cancer Council merchandise will be available for sale from The Garden Shop. Friday 26 August.
